Blue Opal Pendant and Drop Earrings – Three Piece Set

Saturated blue opal, cut as a pear and held inside an open silver kite, with a line of small clear stones along the two lower edges — once as a pendant, twice at the ears.

Made from 925 sterling silver with a rhodium layer, set with lab-created blue opal. Three pieces ship: the pendant and both earrings.

The rhodium layer stops the silver tarnishing and keeps the shine longer. The silver is nickel-free, lead-free and cadmium-free to European standards — hypoallergenic, and comfortable for most sensitive ears and against sensitive skin.

The earrings hang from a fitting that folds shut behind the lobe, so the stone swings all evening without going anywhere. Blue this strong is a colour first and a stone second: flat and glowing rather than sparkling, and it holds up against grey skies, a navy coat and a white shirt equally. The opal is grown rather than mined, which is exactly why the colour is this even — three pieces that have to match each other are the hardest thing to cut from a mined stone. If somebody is getting married and still has no "something blue" three weeks out, this answers it in one parcel. All three pieces arrive together in a free jewellery box with a polishing cloth.
