Silver Moissanite Pendant Necklace – 1 ct

A one carat lab-created moissanite, ringed by a halo of cubic zirconia, on a 45 centimetre chain.

Set in 925 sterling silver with a rhodium layer. The pendant is 9 millimetres across, the necklace weighs 1.97 grams, and it closes with a lobster claw.

The rhodium layer stops the silver tarnishing and keeps the shine longer. The silver is nickel-free, lead-free and cadmium-free to European standards — hypoallergenic, and comfortable against the skin.

Moissanite refracts light more strongly than diamond does, which is why it throws coloured flashes rather than white ones — brighter and more obvious, and the reason people choose it deliberately rather than as a substitute. All jewellery moissanite is grown in a lab; the natural mineral occurs only in meteorite fragments. One of the most expensive pieces we sell, on the more secure of our two clasps.
