A butterfly with its wings open, 19 millimetres across, the wings inlaid with mother of pearl.

Made from 925 sterling silver with a rhodium layer. Each pair weighs 2.0 grams and fastens with a butterfly clasp.

The rhodium layer stops the silver tarnishing and keeps the shine longer. The silver is nickel-free, lead-free and cadmium-free to European standards — hypoallergenic, and comfortable for most sensitive ears.

Mother of pearl shifts colour as the light moves, so the wings never look quite the same twice. Wider than tall, so they sit across the lobe rather than below it. The same design exists gold plated. They arrive in a free jewellery box with a polishing cloth.
